Planet Earth: 55,100 BCE.
Imagine a planet that has had many millions of years to prepare itself for intelligent life. A perfect place for travelers seeking a new home. A beautiful, crisp, fertile planet that seems to have been created especially to nurture living things. But as well as being beautiful, the Earth is wrought with perils that only the very bravest of travelers would dare to confront.

Massive carniverous animals roam the lands, motivated by sheer instinct and an unshakeable will to survive. Huge birds, who's dominion is the sky, constantly scan the ground below for food, and giant stealthy reptiles that are quick on land and in the water are always on the prowl.
Imagine also a far distant planet, its inhabitants faced with extinction, since a massive gamma-ray blast occurred nearby. Years later, it became apparent that the females of the Karonian species had been rendered infertile. Birth rates began to drop dramatically, and despite their advanced medical knowledge and technology, doctors and scientists were unable to find a solution.
Karonians were left with no option but to build a vast fleet of vessels that would carry them through space with just a meager hope of ever returning to their home.
They had the ability to attain near light speed in their enormous and incredibly advanced space-craft, and they knew there were likely to be habitable planets within their reach. They were about to venture into uncharted space. |
